Tsatsiki, morsan och polisen (1999) tells the heartwarming story of Tsatsiki, a young boy living with his single mother in Sweden. Tsatsiki has never met his Greek father, who works as a fisherman. One day, while his mother rents out one of their spare rooms to a motorcycle policeman, Tsatsiki befriends him and decides that he would make the perfect partner for his mother, who is an amateur rock singer and has fallen for the bass player in her band.

In order to escape from all the romantic complications, Tsatsiki and his mother embark on a holiday trip, which surprisingly takes them to the Greek village where Tsatsiki was conceived ten years ago. Here, Tsatsiki finally gets the chance to meet his father and learn more about his Greek heritage.
