The Salvation

In the American West during the 1870s, Jon Jensen, a European settler portrayed by Mads Mikkelsen, experiences a horrific tragedy when his wife and son are mercilessly kidnapped and murdered. Fueled by rage and grief, Jon embarks on a journey of revenge, tracking down and eliminating the culprits responsible for his family's tragic fate. However, his thirst for justice comes at a great cost when he discovers that one of the murderers was the brother of a powerful local land baron named Henry Delarue.

Henry wields a reign of terror over the town, controlling its inhabitants through fear and violence. Consumed by a desire for vengeance, he now seeks retribution against Jon for killing his brother. The townspeople, cowed into submission by Henry's brutal rule, are too frightened to stand up against him.
