Details

In Slaget vi Anzio (1968), Allied forces land at the Italian coastal town of Anzio without resistance. However, their commanding officer makes the controversial decision to remain stationed there, rather than advancing further inland. As a war correspondent, one experienced journalist decides to investigate the situation and borrows a jeep to make the treacherous journey to Rome. To his surprise, he encounters no German forces along the way.
